Minnesota Frontline Worker Pay Update

Frontline Worker Pay updates

Application basics

The FAQs at frontlinepay.mn.gov include an "Applications, appeals" section. Questions 14 through 21 explain where to apply, when to apply, what information you'll need when you apply and more.

We've also posted a handy new document -- Fact sheet:  Application basics -- on the outreach toolkit webpage.

But remember, you don't have to be first in line when the application opens. The application will be open for 45 days and the funds are not first come, first served. The money set aside for this program will be split equally among all approved applicants after the 45-day application period, the 15-day appeals period and the appeals review period.

Translated materials being posted

It is important to us to reach as many eligible frontline workers as possible, so we are translating many of our materials into Hmong, Somali and Spanish. To date, we have the information sheet and outreach toolkit webpages available in four languages. You can access them all at frontlinepay.mn.gov.

The application will be available in English, Hmong, Somali and Spanish. After the application is open, an applicant support center will also be available to assist applicants in multiple languages.

We encourage everyone to use our resources to help spread the word to those workers who may be eligible to apply.

Required employer notice

Within 15 days after the application period is opened, employers in the identified frontline sectors must provide notice to all current workers who may be eligible for Frontline Worker Pay. An employer notice that meets this obligation will be available at frontlinepay.mn.gov as soon as the application dates are finalized
